Venezia Lines Ferries
Venezia Lines is a high speed ferry operator that offers services in the North Adriatic, between Italy, Albania and Croatia. The company operates some of the fastest boats in the area, with shorter journey times than many of their competitors.
The company operates routes between Venice and Istra, and Bari and Durres. A day-return trip is available between Venice and Istra.
Venezia Lines operates international ferry routes. As such, passengers must be in posession of valid visas for both origin and destination countries.
Between Venice and Istra, a VIP class is available in addition to standard accommodation. VIP class offers passengers a dedicated salon with larger seats.
Venezia Lines operates a 'free seating' policy onboard their vessels, so passengers are able to pick where they sit. Smoking is not permitted onboard.
Every Venezia Line ship has a bar serving drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and snacks, although they only accept cash (Euros or Croatian Kuna). A shop can also be found on-board, selling goods at duty free prices.
Luggage & Facilities
Passengers are permitted to travel with one piece of checked-in luggage, as well as a single piece of hand luggage (includes handbags, laptops etc). Additional luggage can be transported for a fee of €5 (if booked in advance) or €10 (at check-in) per journey leg. Checked-in luggage is stored separately from passengers for safety reasons.
Pets that are in posession of the prerequisite international passport and vaccines may be transported on Venezia Lines ships. If pets are transported and do not meet the requirements of the destination country, passengers are liable for any costs incurred to ship the animal back. Cats must be transported in appropriate cages, whilst dogs may not be larger than 60cm in length and 50cm in height. Dogs must travel with a lead and muzzle, and should be noted at the time of booking.
Passengers with reduced mobility must be accompanied by an able bodied passenger aged 16 or over. Wheelchairs and walking frames are transported free of charge, although mobility scooters cannot be transported.
