Stena Line Ferries

Stena Line is an international ferry operator, covering three main geographical areas: Scandinavia, the North Sea and the Irish Sea. The company operates 18 routes in Europe, with a total of 35 ships, including high speed ferries.

The company, in partnership with rail operators, now offers Rail & Sail fares, which give passengers the opportunity to purchase discounted ferry and train tickets to destinations across Europe.


On certain routes, Stena Line offer cabins in addition to traditional seating. All cabins are en-suite, and provide passengers with a comfortable and relaxing environment in which to travel.

A range of cabin options are available, including:

  • 1 bed en-suites;
  • 2 bed en-suites;
  • 4 bed en-suites; 
  • 4 person private lounges; and
  • 2 person private lounges.

En-suite rooms offer passengers a comfortable bed, along with en-suite facilities which include a toilet, sink and shower. Towels and shower gel is provided, along with a desk area. Rooms larger than 1 bed all benefit from an outside window.

Private lounges offer passengers luxury leather seating, a flat screen 3D TV, Playstation 3 Console and games, as well as coffee making facilities. A fridge is also available, along with an en-suite bathroom and free wifi.

Internet Access

Free WiFi is available for passengers on all Stena Line routes. The connection is not particularly fast however, so streaming content is not permitted.


Most of the Stena Line fleet offer passengers the opportunity to watch free movies whilst on-board. Some ships operate a cinema, which charges passengers an entrance fee of £5.50 per adult, and £4 for children less than 12 years of age.

Some ships offer passengers arcade games, whilst television screens are positioned around the decks.

Food & Drink

All Stena Line services offer some form of refreshment service. Larger ships operate a full restaurant, offering a range of hot food and drinks. Passengers travelling in the Stena Plus Lounge benefit from waiter service and a premium menu. Some ships also offer coffee shops and bar areas.
