Rail

Train travel could be considered as being the most luxurious alternative to flight. The conditions of railways across Europe vary considerably, but most countries do have them, in some form or another. Whilst not as quick as flying, trains do tend to be the speediest alternative. Bare in mind however, that train speeds across Europe do vary, some are a lot quicker than others!

There are a whole host of train operators, many of which can be found in subsequent pages on this website. Reservations, whilst recommended are sometimes not possible, especially in those countries with more primative railways.
