Travelling between London and Rome does not have to be by plane. The cities can be reached by train overnight via Paris, so that you are refreshed and ready for the day ahead. The Artesia sleeper train offers a range of accommodation types, details of which can be found on its dedicated page.

The most efficient way to travel between London and Rome is to aim for the trains shown below. If you want to spend a bit more time in Paris, then catch an earlier Eurostar train (if travelling away from London), or a later Eurostar (if travelling towards London).

London to Rome:

Depart London at 14.02 (Eurostar), arrives in Paris at 17.23
Transfer from Gare du Nord to Gare du Bercy (Metro - allow 1hr)
Depart Paris at 18.52 (Artesia), arrives in Rome at 10.12

Rome to London:

Depart Rome at 18.20 (Artesia), arrives in Paris at 09.16
Transfer from Gare du Bercy to Gare du Nord (Metro - allow 1hr)
