Deventer

Deventer is a city situated alonside the River Ijssel. The old town, south of the railway station, contains an array of medieval buildings. Highlights include Noordenbergkwartier and Saint Lebuinus Church. It is possible to climb the belltower of the Lebuinus Church to take advantage of views of the town. Film fans can visit the bridge where the film "A Bridge Too Far" was shot.

The city has a railway station that links it to other nearby towns and cities. The city itself is most easily toured on foot or by bicycle.
