Macedonia

The Republic of Macedonia is a spectacular country, relatively undiscovered by western tourists. Expect to find lakes, rivers, mountains and picturesque villages. The country's three large lakes are well worth a visit. Overland travel to the country is not that easy, and is likely to involve a ferry or a lengthy train journey via Serbia.
