Athens is the capital city of Greece, as well as one of the world's oldest. The city is littered with ancient monuments and works of art, with the most famous being the Parthenon.

The Athens Mass Transit System serves the city's public transport needs, and consists of buses, trolleybuses, an underground Metro system, trams and commuter rail services.

Athens is at the heart of the country's rail network (OSE), connecting the city with other destinations both nationally and internationally. Unfortunately, since 2011, all international rail services to/from the country have been suspended.
