Augsburg
Augsburg is a city in the south of Germany, in Bavaria. The city has a strong public transport system, with several tram lines, buses and trains. Three stations serve the city, connecting it with Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt and other German cities, as well as international destinations such as Paris and Vienna.
The service between Paris and Munich (with some services terminating in Stuttgart) is operated on the high-speed TGV line, with a total journey time of less than four hours to Stuttgart, and less than six hours to Munich. Much of the TGV service has been recently redecorated/rejuvinated to provide comfortable and clean interiors for your journey.
It is also possible to reach Munich via Cologne, or on the City Night Line service, which also calls at Stuttgart.
The key cities of Amsterdam, Munich and Innsbruck are connected by an overnight City Night Line (CNL) sleeper service known as 'Pollux', that also travels via Cologne, Frankfurt and Stuttgart.
The same journey can be made during the day if so desired, although requires a change of train at Frankfurt.
Travelling to/from Amsterdam and Cologne, there is a connecting InterCity Express (ICE) train between Frankfurt and Munich, via Stuttgart. There are five direct services daily in each direction. There is also a City Night Line sleeper service between Amsterdam and Munich if you would prefer to travel overnight.
