Germany

Germany is one of the easiest destinations to reach from the UK, and also acts as a gateway to a lot of the rest of Europe when travelling overland. The country is made up of sixteen different states, and each would claim to be distinct from every other. There is plenty to see and do in the country. Trains to the country involve only one change when travelling from the UK.
