La Rochelle

La Rochelle is a city in the west of France, situated on the Bay of Biscay. During the Second World War, the German Army built a submarine base at the city's harbour, and it remained a German stronghold until the end of the war.

The city's train station, Gare de La Rochelle offers national rail connections to Bordeaux, Poitiers and Paris.

Route 1:

The service between Paris and La Rochelle is most easily made by TGV Atlantique, in just under three hours. On-board you can expect the standard high quality TGV service as you travel through France at high-speed. The service is fairly frequent, with trains departing every hour and a half throughout the day.
