Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands are an island group which fall under Danish sovereignty, situated between the Norweigan Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean; halfway between Norway and Iceland.

The Islands are self governing, with a prime minister. They are not part of the European Union however, and any Danish people living on the Faroes are not classed as citizens of the European Union. The country is also not part of the Schengen Agreement, although there are no border checks when entering the country from any Schengen country.
