Grounded Travel was created to provide an easy way for people to discover how easy it is to get around Europe without flying. Its creators are great believers in taking trains instead of planes, both due to the environmental benefits and also the benefits it brings to the whole travelling experience.

All the content on this site, apart from the Travellers' Tales is written by us. The photographs used on the site are in the public domain under this Creative Commons license. If you are the owner of any of these images and have recently removed the CC licence, please contact us to have your photograph removed.

We aren't a travel agent, or sell any tickets directly. We just point you in the right direction so that you find travelling overland just that little bit easier. Saying that, all the invormation provided on this site is used at your own discretion...from time to time routes are lost, or better ones are created...and sometimes it may take us a while to update the information from our end. If you do spot anything that you know is incorrect, please do contact us.
